Developing careers

Our team members are central to the ongoing success of Officeworks, so we’re passionate about ensuring they have the tools, capabilities and resources they need to succeed in their professional lives now and into the future. We provide career development, learning opportunities and job-specific training that focuses on upskilling our team members so they can grow their career at Officeworks or Wesfarmers. We understand the importance of investing in our team so our aim is to support their development, whether they’re thinking about their next role or focusing on being the best they can be in their current role.

Safety, health & wellbeing

The safety, health and wellbeing of our team is our number one priority. We are committed to creating a safe and healthy work culture through ongoing initiatives such as ‘Stay Safe’ and ‘Your Best Life’. We embed a safety mindset into everything we do, and we recognise it’s not just about physical safety, it is about supporting our team to achieve great mental health and wellbeing outcomes that allow them to bring their best selves to work, every day.

Diversity & inclusion

It’s important to us that our team members reflect the communities in which we live and work. Officeworks recognises the value that diversity brings, and we are passionate about creating a culture of inclusion and belonging through respect for all our team and customers. We’re also committed to supporting our team to manage their work-life balance through several policies and programs, such as Growing Families or Flexible Public Holidays.

To respect and recognise Australia’s First People, we’re dedicated to building a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, customs and culture, as well as providing career opportunities and guidance for Indigenous team members.

Rewards & benefits

We believe our team members’ hard work and contribution deserves some great benefits in return. We partner with a number of providers to offer discounts and deals on health insurance, movie tickets and hotels, to name a few. Eligible team members can also choose to salary sacrifice or take advantage of discounts while shopping with other Wesfarmers brands like Bunnings, Kmart, Target and OnePass. Officeworks is also committed to supporting our team with flexible leave options for eligible team members which include Growing Families Leave, Purchased Leave and Flexible Public Holiday policies.

Where we work

We want our team to love coming to work. Part of this is the physical environment where they work – whether this is in one of our stores, our support offices, customer service centre, or customer fulfilment centres (CFC). We continue to invest in modernising and upgrading our operations, which recently has included two new state-of-the-art CFCs (in Victoria and Western Australia), and a purpose-built support office with 6-star Green Star design in Melbourne named ‘wilam’, an Aboriginal word that translates to ‘place’.
