Officeworks has partnered with Yindi Manufacturing, an Indigenous Australian company specialising in office furniture. This collaboration brings a new range of ergonomic chairs to Officeworks, featuring locally produced designs with fabrics by Aboriginal artist Jedess Hudson.

Yindi Manufacturing, a majority Indigenous-owned company, is dedicated to fostering economic growth, empowering Indigenous communities, and promoting cultural diversity in the office furniture sector.

The new Butchulla Collection, available exclusively online at Officeworks, is part of a commitment to sharing Indigenous culture and supporting local businesses.

The collection features ergonomic chairs starting at $269, made in Queensland with Australian-moulded seat foam, Indigenous-made plastics, and fabrics upholstered by Brendan Ward-Anning, a Yidindji man from Far North Queensland.

The Aboriginal-inspired patterns, designed by Jedess Hudson, draw from her ancestral heritage, depicting elements like bush tucker, flora, and fauna.

Ramone Close, Yindi's founder, is passionate about using sustainable practices to drive meaningful impact. "We are not just building chairs; we are sharing culture with both our community and the broader public," says Ramone. "Our partnership with Officeworks began as a dream and has grown into a reality two years later."

The partnership elevates Indigenous businesses on a national scale, contributing to community development and cultural awareness. The Yindi range is now part of Officeworks' People and Planet range, promoting sustainable and community-driven choices.
