I joined Officeworks on the 29th of November in 1999 at the Highett store, but I’m now working at the support centre within our B2B team.
I love being part of Officeworks because of our focus on positive workplace culture and diversity.
Across my 20 years with the business a lot has changed, but what I’ve really noticed is how we’ve grown to have a greater focus on making a difference as a business through our Positive Difference Plan - this has been through our partnership with The Smith Family and the work we do at Support Centre and in our stores to support local communities.
If I had to pick one highlight from the last 20 years it would actually be a recent achievement, being the B2B team that has beaten their financial budgets for the past three years!
One of the great things about this business is the opportunity to turn a job into a career. I started in the Highett store within the furniture team and then moved into the print and copy team three months later. I then transferred to the call centre in early 2002, before moving into the resource planning and payroll team in 2004, which led to my current role as a business support administrator.
