‘Detail within detail’ best describes the meditative work that @angebruneel (IG) is currently drawn to. Each of the scale-like shapes in that writhing surface is a tiny work of art in itself. It’s no wonder then, that the Belgian artist’s favourite thing about drawing is being connected with himself. You could understand him becoming lost in the detail – especially when Ange’s favourite project is a 10m roll using the same technique! It took him over 230 hours to complete, along with 120 Artline Drawing System Fineliners.

Working out of Sydney, Olly Hunter Wilson’s pointillist works are intensely textured with fascinating contrasts that encourage a closer look. “What I love most about drawing is the freedom to express yourself.” says Olly. “And the fact a complete stranger can understand your life through your art without even meeting you.” His favourite project so far is ‘Last Dance’ which took over 120 hours to complete. Olly aspires to creating art “that people can relate to regardless of where they’re from.”

Daniel Hannay, seen here working on a mural in Noosa, enjoys capturing the finest of details as well as the essence, personality and story behind each piece. “I love the meditative state of developing a piece in which hours can fly by and seem like nothing.” Daniel is currently working on a series of drawings of his daughter. “I love to challenge myself in all of my work. This is something I have wanted to do for a while and has so far been one of my favourite projects.”
