Are smart TVs better than regular TVs? What’s the difference?

Smart TVs are a great choice if you use streaming services to watch your favourite TV content. Smart TVs have integrated apps and internet connectivity so that you can have all the streaming content you desire. They can be more expensive compared to regular TVs, however. Regular TVs can also be given smart functionality with devices like the Google ChromeCast or the Amazon Fire Stick, so even if you don’t choose a smart TV, you can still keep up with all your favourite streaming services.

What size TVs can I buy?

Can I wall mount any TV from Officeworks?

Most TVs can be wall mounted assuming you have a compatible wall mount and a wall capable of holding the weight. Officeworks can help with the wall mount but you’ll need to provide the wall!

Wall mounts are often compatible with a range of TVs, but some are only compatible with specific brands. Always check the maximum weight and size of TV that’s supported with your wall mount before buying.

Projectors

Projectors are a great way to make use of empty wall space. These devices project an image onto a wall or a projector canvas, so you can have a massive viewing space for all your favourite shows, without messing around with TV setups. These space-saving devices are great choices thanks to their small form factor and many are portable.

What’s the difference between HD, Full HD, and Ultra HD? What’s 4K?

The resolution of your TV determines how sharp or clear the image can look. Images are made up of pixels, and the more available, the better the image quality.

• HD TV: 1280x720 pixels.
• Full HD TV: 1920x1080 pixels
• Ultra HD TV: 3840x2160 pixels.

UltraHD is technically not the same thing as “true” 4K, but outside the film industry, most UltraHD displays are referred to as 4K.
