Matisse Background Colour is an all purpose acrylic paint that can be used as a foundation for your art. It can be applied to almost any surface and is ideal as a low-tooth gesso. It's highly pigmented to make your art stand out and can easily be cleaned up with water for your convenience.

It spreads easily with a brush or roller for easy application.
It can be applied directly to wood, canvas, paper, card, board and more.
It dries to a matt-velvet finish, giving your art texture.
It can seal surfaces, preparing them for painting with the built-in sealer.
