Document Prints offer a way to view your work in hard copy format rather than digitally. It's ideal for academic work, business proposals, letters, reports, instruction sheets and more. You can select your paper thickness and finish and print in vivid high resolution colour or bold black and white.

Design Guidelines

Document whitespace, gutter size and image resolution

White space margin

All documents are printed with a 5mm outer page margin that is non-printable area.

Gutter size

All bound documents should include a minimum of 10mm of gutter margin to allow for document binding and hole punching. For thermal binding it is recommended to use 18mm.

Image resolution

For best printing results use images of between 150dpi and 300dpi in your document. Lower resolution images may appear blurry or fuzzy when printed.

The below dimensions represent the printable area of your Document Prints:

A3 - 415mm x 287mm
A4 - 287mm x 200mm
A5 - 205mm x 138mm

All Bound Documents are printed with a 5mm outer margin.

File Types

For best printing results, save your design as a PDF. You can also print in Microsoft Word (DOC / DOCX)Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT / PPTX)Microsoft Excel (XLS / XLSX)Images (JPG / PNG / TIFF) Maximum file size is 250mb.

Resolution

Set the resolution of your design to 150dpi before you start designing. This way your print will be clear and sharp.

Colour Mode

Our print machines are specifically made to print using the CMYK colour mode. Make sure your design is in CMYK colour mode for best results. Please note if you provide your file as Microsoft file it will be RGB colour mode and converted to CMYK colour mode as part of the printing process.
